Wind Chimes
Our daughter gave us
A set of chimes.
They were put up
In cooler times.
They chime so gently
In the evening breeze;
They surely relax us
And we feel at ease.
Evening is the time
That we like the best.
The chores are all done
And it’s time to rest.
We’d sit in the back,
In our easy chairs,
With the gentle chiming,
We’d forget our cares.
And before you know it,
Our eyes would close,
Due to the soft music,
I suppose...
