The Garden in my Head
For a second of scarlet seas
Locked in a secret nowhere.
A place to take my unknown needs
I would drift, and float; no bother
Of a physical breath, across my skin
A horse stained shades of grey.
Whisper to me words within
The mute lips of my brain.
Seconds, hours, days I laid,
Staring into the blue.
As wanted as myself I made
Never be it real nor true.
“It’s time for you to leave, my
dear”
The horse was once more right
Of course; The vision of my fear
Stabbed me with a ray of light.
There I go, back to the stones
Between which lies my entrance.
I jump – collapse, tissues and
bones
On a marble floor of senseless
Patterns of squares, black and white
Forced to open my eyes again.
The tiles no longer seem alright
Blood-stained, crumbled,
Real.
