A broken Heart
She was looking for him
Not really knowing why
She was scared and lonely
Not wanting to say goodbye
She walked to the house
Thinking it would be the best
If she couldn't find him
She knew there would be no rest.
Her heart was breaking
As if torn apart
Looking down deep inside
herself
She saw a broken heart
She hoped he would return her
love
With him she had shared
After all he was the one
For whom her heart really cared.
The night was long and lonely
The stars danced in the sky
She was thinking of old memories
And she began to cry
She waited for his return
The clock said only ten
Could she convince him
They could start over again.
Finally it was daybreak
The sun was about to rise
She hadn't slept all night
You could see it in her eyes
The door opened quietly
Just outside he stood
He was smiling at her
Like she hoped he would.
It was great to have him home
They would work things out
She knew that he loved her
In her mind there was no doubt
He walked over and hugged her
Then he closed the door
He made her a promise
He wouldn't leave her any more
