Play cautiously with living flame
Might it burst in sudden convulsions
Of a jealous dame.

Speed not with a sword in your heart
Sinking deeper with every step
Creating bloody art.

If you say you love, love with desire
Greater than an angel’s quill
Scribbling God’s admire.

Cry a million tears if you must
Drown deep in the azure puddle
Of unfulfilled lust.

Hold the hand as if it were a treasure
Beyond a thief’s wildest greed
Holding no measure.

Kiss the lips of folded rose petals
Eyes closed to the brightness of day
Until sun settles.

If you are to leave, leave with hate!
Throw away the beating heart
To follow fate!

Long the missing, as you long for air
High in the snowy mountain tops
If you dare.

Embraced by candle light and perfume
The only passion, is the one of senses
Locked in a dark room.

Fly on the wings of the bird that is free
Dead in flames to be reborn in the ashes
The phoenix of you and me.
